'Birds of Paradise' Summer 2014/15 LAUNCH PARTY

I'm a little late on this one, but better late than never! In December we celebrated the launch of my Summer collection 'Birds of Paradise'. After months of sewing like a mad woman with the occasional mental breakdown (sorry Chris) the night went off without a hitch! Well there was one minor cupcake fiasco but let's not get into that... So I just wanted to  say a huge Thank you with a capital T, to everyone who came along and celebrated with us. Even if you were just there for the free champagne- that's cool with me you were a good space filler! And an especially big thank you to all my special little helpers, I couldn't of done it without you. Love from one happy little Larry :)

Hong Kong!

Hi everyone!

Last month I took a business/pleasure trip to Hong Kong with my partner. We had such a great time, sourcing fabric, shopping, eating (a lot) and just general sight seeing. So I wanted to share some of our favourite pictures from our time there! Hope you enjoy.

We were so lucky to arrive on the last night of Hong Kongs "Mid Autumn Lantern Festival'. The entire Victoria park was glowing with Lantern displays and fairy lights it was really beautiful! They also hold a Fire Dragon parade in the streets of a night during the festival. Imagine 40 degree heat, streets lined with people, and a 60 foot fire dragon made of burning incense. It was intense! So happy this was one of our first experiences in Hong Kong. I had never been to an Asian country before, so it was a real eye-opener to the culture and traditions.

Anyone travelling to Hong Kong I highly recommend you visit the popular temples and gardens (great for those travelling on a budget). We did a walking tour that began at Nan Lian Garden and visited one of the largest temples in Hong Kong 'Wong Tai Sin' (pictured). It was on this day that I realised my hair and 80% humidity aren't really the best of friends... (Time to ditch the hair straightener and opt for cornrows).

We had a stoke of genius to visit The Peak of Hong Kong at sunset... Apparently so did the rest of the world. I'd never seen so many selfie sticks in my life! Such a beautiful view though, it was definitely worth braving the crowds.

All dolled up for a Victoria Harbour night cruise! Wearing new KIRAPIZZINGRILLI summer dress (available very soon).  We sailed the harbour sipping our drinks (if we could keep a hold of them over the waves) and the details get a little hazy after that...

Tim Ho Wan- The dim sum specialist. I can't even explain how good this was. If you are as into yum cha Sundays as I, get on a plane now and go to this place! The cheapest Michelin star restaurant in the world I don't know what more convincing you need? Oh free tea? Just go!
