Central Coast Fashion Week

This year March saw the inaugural 'Central Coast Fashion Week' held at Bombini restaurant. Bombini at Avoca Beach combined food and fashion, whilst hosting a series of workshops and events collaborating with leading style influencers and local designers including Elle Ferguson of They All Hate Us, Weave from By Weave, Bohemian Traders and of course KIRA PIZZINGRILLI!

'The Closet' marketplace, converted Bombini's 'The Pantry' into a fashionable pop-up shop containing the Central Coasts brightest emerging and established labels.

After a successful week and showcase- bring on next year!

I Dream of Gypsy Collab

Can we just take a moment to appreciate all of the freaking amazing talent we have here on the Central Coast?... Okay moment over. Armed with a love for local talent, Kira Pizzingrilli and a few of our favourite creatives, hit The Entrance rock pools for an afternoon of cool photos and fun times.

STRUT Runway show

The Central Coast's annual Strut runway show is an event designed to create a platform for local business to showcase the fantastic array of fashion available on the coast!

2016 Canberra Fash Fest

This year 'KIRA PIZZINGRILLI' was lucky enough to participate in Canberra's premier fashion event, Fash Fest. The night consisted of a strong lineup of emerging designers and was finished like all good fashion events should be- with champagne and a photo wall!

This year thanks to my St.George small business champion award I was given the opportunity to attend Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia! It was freaking great. The end.

The Summer of the 'Necktie'.

Oh Hi!

Nice to see you back so soon. This post is in essence, my tribute to the Neck-tie. I am just here to say hey neck-tie, I appreciate what you do and I'm buying what you're selling. You are a valuable asset to any outfit and I hope you stick around. Summer 15/16 will always be known as to me the summer of the chokers, neck adornments and Neck-ties!

Well, that's pretty much it. Thanks for listening.

Attached: picture evidence of the case at hand. Including our very own 'Dreamboat tie top' which features a built in (drum roll please, you guessed it), Neck-tie!

The trials and triumphs of creating an 'inspiration board'

KP here, reaching out to you from the depths of my work space, (don't be fooled by the mess- it's organised chaos)... Where I am currently getting busy creating my next collection. Woo Hoo!

I don't know where you get your kicks, but for me there is not much more satisfying than creating new things. I get so much joy and excitement from putting my ideas to paper and then materialising those ideas into real live clothes that you can wear and that make you feel good. Nay, make you feel GR8! Yes with an 8... (See I'm much too busy 'creating' to possibly waste time writing in longhand).

Any-who, I thought I'd give you a little looksy into my design process by posting an inspiration board that I have been working on. This is the first port of call on the design journey. The reason I start here is to do some trend research and get the creative juices flowing for my Summer 16/17 range. I'm not going to post any pics of fabrics or sketches of what is to come, mainly because I don't want to spoil the surprise!

So basically here it is, a mini look into my inspiration- Enjoy!

Love, me x

Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival

Last weekend we were lucky enough to debut Summer 15/16 collection at the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival. The event consisted of a runway show and trade lounge where guests could shop the latest collection straight off the runway!

It was a great event, mingling with customers, designers and fashion industry personnel. It's always nice to see all your hard work come together and a celebratory night like this was definitely in order! (Along with a tall glass of champagne).

Just a few thank you's, then I'm out- Huge thanks to St.George Bank for their support in getting me to this event and in creating personalised USB's for a modern twist on the classic fashion lookbook. I truly appreciate all the time and passion they have for supporting small businesses.

Thanks to the SCFF ladies for having me, it was a great time and I do love mixing business with pleasure.

And finally, a gigantic thank you to my partner in crime and life, Chris. My hired muscle, my business assistant, my personal organiser, and my one man cheer squad. I love you and your help never goes unappreciated.

Okay, that's all, now here's some pics from the event!
